About Dr. Brenda Kibola

Dr Brenda Kibola, MD Is An Online Psychiatrist In Wisconsin

Dr. Brenda Kibola grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of a large Christian family. She was a dedicated student in school, and her diligence eventually earned her a scholarship that allowed her to study in the U.S.

During this time, she began searching for her calling in life. She knew that she wanted to work with people, but the specific method was unclear to her — until she did her Psychiatry rotation in Medical School. For the first time, Dr. Kibola felt a sense of purpose, passion, and excitement that she’d never experienced. She knew she was meant to be a Psychiatrist.

After obtaining her Medical Degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, she pursued her specialty training in Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

Once her training was complete, Dr. Kibola officially began her career at the Marshfield Clinic Health System in Wisconsin, where she worked for 4 years before deciding to start an independent practice.

For 8 years, Dr. Kibola has worked with patients from diverse backgrounds and beliefs on their journey towards mental wellness. She has successfully treated multiple conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, peripartum mood disorders, schizophrenia and other forms of psychosis amongst other psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Kibola spends plenty of time getting to know each patient before creating a fully customized treatment plan based on their specific needs and priorities, and she approaches each patient with the understanding that mental health transcends the mind and body to include relationships and faith.

She recognizes that having a healthy relationship and family dynamic fills a deep need for belonging and purpose, both of which contribute to mental health. Numerous psychological studies have also confirmed this and shown a positive correlation between healthy family dynamics and mental wellness.

Most importantly, Dr. Kibola’s patient-centered interventions also consider the patients’ spiritual health grounded on Biblical principles. This holistic approach – mind, body, family and spirituality ensures that her patients are edified, uplifted and whole. “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
